Campaign Story
Our crowdfunding campaign is designed to connect people in recovery with yoga and the community that comes with a yoga studio like Mudita.
Yoga is a practice that has an array of benefits from physical to mental to emotional to spiritual. A practice like this is valuable to all of us and could be tremendously impactful to people freshly out of treatment that are planting their roots in Keene.
$2,500 means we can provide 10-20 three and six month, weekly yoga scholarships to individuals. Through connecting with local treatment and transitional living facilities and removing the financial hurdle of attending a yoga class, we are providing a healthy, community resource and continuing to holistically support and normalize the recovery process.
We hope you'll join us in creating a healthier, supportive community for us all!

One week in, almost 25% funded!
What a wonderful week it has been! Thank you to everyone that has donated, shared, and offered positive words of support.
We still have a ways to go, so, what are the ways you can continue to help us reach our goal?1) Share our campaign on social media!
Even if you or others don’t donate, maybe they know someone that will or someone that could use a scholarship.2) Share our campaign in real life!
Do you have a group of people you meet with regularly? We’d love to know and would be happy to come by and share a few words about Y4R.3) Donate!
$5, $20, $250, it all adds up; that’s the neat part about crowdfunding! There are still lots of amazing rewards for donating. We’ll keep you updated. Thanks for being a part of Yoga for Recovery!

Matching donations through the 25th!
We are slowly but surely inching toward achieving our goal of $2,500 in yoga scholarships! Amazing!
Last week we had an anonymous donor step forward to match funds donated up to $500 through the 25th of October. We have 2 more days to take advantage of this generous offer and get that much closer to our goal!
Please keep sharing this out via your social media channels or just a short personal email to one or two people in your life who might be interested. We can achieve the last bit of our goal no problem with a little teamwork!
Thanks for your support and excitement so far,

Thank you!! We have successfully completed and closed out our Yoga for Recovery crowdfunding campaign. Thank you for your support along the way whether you shared, donated, or sent positive words our way. Now the work of putting our scholarship funds into action can begin. . .
We are talking with our first potential recipient and ask that if you or someone in your life could benefit from Mudita’s yoga for recovery funds that you reach out or put them in touch with us so we can begin to get the word out and get folks on their yoga mats!
Thank you again for being a force of good within our community! We look forward to updating you soon!
Kat & Aaron
P.S. If you selected a reward that is a physical item, stay tuned and check your email for pick up info in the coming weeks. Thanks for your patience.

2020 Project Update
Kat Wood and Aaron Shields raised over $2,500 to support individuals in recovery by providing scholarships to attend regular yoga classes at Mudita Massage & Wellness based in Keene. If you know someone who might be interested in one of these scholarships, find details at mudita.live/yoga-for-recovery-scholarships.
“The whole experience from planning, to rolling out, to finishing successfully in meeting our goal was valuable for us and allowed for people in our community to contribute in a positive way that they believe in,” shared Kat. “Crowdfunding is the perfect example of the ‘do what you can, where you are, with what you have’ mentality to create change.”
