Campaign Story

When we closed our Main Street coffee shop due to COVID-19, we shifted our business to exclusively deliver our freshly roasted beans by mail order. We experienced an overwhelming demand for local bean delivery, and we wanted to find a way to keep our community caffeinated through in-person roaster to home deliveries.
 
Thinking outside the box to support our team and community, we are excited to announce BySpoke - Beans by Bike, our doorstep delivery service. Thanks to the generous community support from Ted’s Shoe & Sport’s Virtual 5K and a Payroll Protection Loan from Mascoma Bank, we had the funds and staff to roll out this new service. We now deliver our coffee beans with our new electric bike, named Iris, to customers who order online and live locally. Iris helps us connect with our amazing coffee community, as well as allowing for reduced packaging and a smaller environmental footprint. It's a win all around!

PS: Are you wondering why we chose to name our new e-bike, Iris? Iris is the goddess of rainbows and the messenger of the gods. It just seemed right.

    BySpoke: Beans by Bike Update!

    Our plan was to deliver by bike three or so times a week, in fair weather.

    After a month of BySpoke, we are happy to say that we have delivered five days a week, rain or shine!

    Six #prcrew members have delivered hundreds of pounds of coffee, pedaled nearly 600 miles, and made so many people smile over the past 30 days.

    Thank you for your orders and continued support. Because of you, we get to bike all around our community, spreading love…and coffee. ❤☕🚲
