Campaign Story

Our community proudly supports local farms in our region -- but buying local isn't always enough as farmers face substantial operating costs and tough competition from more conventional and larger farms from afar.

The Community Supported Solar for Farmers project will help farmers stabilize and lower a significant operating cost, providing electricity to the farm, and transition to a more regenerative source of energy -- the sun. We'll use the same Community Supported Solar model that brought solar panels to the Monadnock Food Co-op in Keene, NH.

This project will also serve as a model for farmers statewide to lower their energy costs.

Funds collected through this crowdfunding campaign will be used as matching funds for a larger grant application. If other funding is not secured, the funds we collect will be used to directly support local farms in their efforts to increase their energy efficiency and move toward energy independence.
