Community Supported Solar for Farms
Campaign Introduction:
Farmers are the heart of our region: providing fresh produce, caring for the land, and nourishing our community. With farmers being key to our local food system and conservation priorities, it is crucial that they too are supported. Here’s one great way — through the Monadnock Region’s Community Supported Solar for Farms project.

Campaign Story
New Hampshire farmers face significant energy expenses. This project aims to help stabilize and lower the cost of electricity for participating farms by producing energy from solar panels. Lowering costs of energy increases the viability of farms.
This Community Solar Project (CSS) brings together farmers, investors, and local champions to help local farms unlock the potential of the renewable energy economy. Together, we can help farms continue to thrive for generations to come!
In addition to increasing the viability of local farms, this project increases renewable energy in our community and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. What better way to honor the people who preserve our working lands and nourish our community than to support the Monadnock Region’s Community Supported Solar project?
We will use the funds raised to lower participation costs for farmers, making our project more accessible to local farmers.
Your donation today is an investment in a bright future for tomorrow! Help us accomplish our goal of creating a strong future for our farmers, environment, and our local food system.
How Community Supported Solar Works:
Farmers in the Monadnock Region opt to purchase a solar share to become a member of the Farmers Members Group. (In total, there are 22 shares.) Members enter into a Limited Liability Company (LLC) named Community Supported Solar for Farms, joining with Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD) and other investors. In six years, the farmers will take full ownership of the array through a buyout.
ReVision Energy has already built the array at Sun Moon Farm of Rindge, NH.
